The Department of Physiotherapy was established in 2019atUsha Martin University.The Department offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme that is carefully designed to meet the national standards of the Physiotherapy industry.
Physiotherapy means physiotherapeutic system of medicine which includes examination, treatment, advice and instructions to any person preparatory to or for the purpose of or in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing and pain from trauma and disease, physical and mental conditions using physical agents including exercise, mobilization, manipulation, mechanical and electrotherapy, activity and devices or diagnosis, treatment and prevention. A program of physical therapy will typically involve caregivers.Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that is primarily concerned with remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention.With a focus on helping patients maintain, recover, and improve their physical abilities, we prepare students to address impairments and promote mobility, providing provisional diagnosis and physical interventions.
The department aims tomake the students skilled professionals in meeting the increasing demand for physiotherapy services in the medical sector. The Physiotherapy department has well-seasoned and well-qualified team of academicians and qualified physiotherapist who are well versed in teaching learning methods thereby students acquire practical training and theoretical knowledge in the most effective manner. The Physiotherapy department has well-equipped labs that ensures a good learning experience and a rich and diverse clinical exposure for students.

The Department offers undergraduate degree programs in Physiotherapy (BPT), Medical Lab Technology (BSc.MLT) and Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (BSc.MRIT).Here at Usha Martin University, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive and innovative curriculum that prepares students for rewarding careers in these dynamic fields.
