It gives me immense pleasure to share that Usha Martin University is taking its learners on a rewarding and productive academic journey leading to employable competencies. Usha Martin University is recognized by the University Grants Commission as a self-financing State Private University with the authority to award certificates, diplomas and degrees. It is also a member of Association of Indian Universities. In the last academic year, awards and honours such as Excellence in Training and Placements were conferred on it as recognition of the quality of education imparted by it. Under the guidance of its various statutory bodies and their eminent members, UMU is focused on promoting a silent social transformation through offer of need based, high quality, cost-effective skill-oriented education for the people of the State of Jharkhand. The University has now instituted Birsa Munda Chair for Agriculture and Sustainable Tribal Development and Naresh Goyal Chair for Innovations led Entrepreneurship. Moreover, the University has been offering scholarships to all its students from the state. These are small steps towards fulfilling our social responsibility and commitment to the society in the state of Jharkhand.
