- Ph.D. in Computer Science program, candidates must hold a master’s or PG degree.
- The candidates must have a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university or equivalent institution in the particular domain of study.
- Relaxation shall be granted to applicants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamylayer)/Differently-abled and other categories as determined by the UGC and the Government ofIndia.
- To be eligible for the benefits available to reserved category students, they must present their reservation certificates issued by the relevant authorities.
- Candidates who have already passed the UGC (JRF) Examinations, NET, SET, or SLET, or who holdan M. Phil degree, are eligible to appear directly to the interview.

The Selection procedure is based on Entrance exam and Interview.
- The Entrance Examination is MCQ based. There are two sections. First section consists of 50 MCQ based on General Awareness and Research Methodology. Second section consists of 50 MCQ questions based on subject domain knowledge. Candidates with an overall score of 50% or higher in the General category and 45% or higher in the SC/ST/OBC category will be eligible for an interview.
- Admission process will be followed by Personal Interview (PI).Every eligible candidate interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science will be required to appear in an interview conducted by the University’s Committee.
