This activity in the university got a new impetus during the Lockdown period as it was considered important to equip the faculty with the knowledge and application of online teaching and learning, online assessment and learner support. A series of webinar based FDPs were conducted on various aspects as per the table below

There is growing evidence that Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are producing unemployable graduates who pass their examinations on the strength of rote learning without understanding the subject matter. They fail to develop intellectual creativity needed for problem solving, independent thinking and such other 21st Century skills. This is true of all disciplines, including engineering. A study carried out by 'Aspiring Minds' (an employability assessment company) in 2017 revealed that about 95% of India's engineers were not fit for jobs in software development. Similarly, an astonishing report was published by McKinsey about a decade ago stating that just about one quarter of the engineers in India were actually employable then.
