Admission Process: How to Apply for 2025

UMU Ranchi admissions follow a standard process for its various courses across all levels. The applicants can fill out the application form online or can download the form, fill it out, and send it to the university address. They can also collect the form from the university campus. In both modes of application, an application fee needs to be paid and necessary documents need to be uploaded or sent.

Admission to MBA and Engineering courses is through entrance tests conducted by the university. The NEET/JCECEB entrance exam is used for BSc Nursing admission, and JCECEB is used for GNM admission. Other courses are on a merit basis. For PhD courses, students can need to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the university, followed by an interview, and those who have already cleared UGC (JRF) Examinations/NET/SET/SLET or have M Phil degree can directly appear for an interview.

Scholarships and Financial Aid Opportunities

• Provision for Wards/Dependents of Army Personnel – Wards/Dependents of Army personnel will get special scholarships. Boys will be entitled to 20% of semester fees as a scholarship, while girls will be entitled to 30% of semester fees.
• Domicile Based – 10% for students having domicile in Jharkhand and enrolled in any program.
