About the B.Tech in Civil -(High Rise Building Design):
In this 21st century the landscape of civil engineering has evolved significantly. Today, the advent of technology is putting a profound impact on civil engineering and application of technology aims to make qualitative and quantitative leap in productivity in the construction sector. Today Building Information Model (BIM) methodology is revolutionizing the construction world and its scope is growing significantly.
Building Information Model (BIM) methodology is a trailblazing technology used to create and manage data during the design, construction, and operations process. Through BIM methodology it becomes easy to integrate multi-disciplinary data to create detail digital representations that are managed in an open cloud platform for real-time collaboration. Building Information Model (BIM) methodology provides greater visibility, better decision making and sustainable options to construct high rise building and manage complicated construction projects.
Using the concept of Building Information Model (BIM) methodology, Usha Martin University has started B.Tech in Civil Engineering specialization in High Rise Building Design and offering B.Tech Civil Engineering High Rise Building Design admission. This is the programme of four years developed by industry experts and academicians of the University covers the fundamental of High-Rise Building Design and Analysis, fundamentals of civil engineering,2D/3D drafting, and analysis using software tools.
About Programme
Eligibility for B. Tech Civil Engineering
Students who have completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized institute are eligible for B. Tech Civil Engineering High Rise Building Design admission.
Objective of the Programme:
- Impartingcomprehensive knowledge of modeling, analysis,design of high-rise and tall buildings
- Providing students hands-on experience with software tools used in the industry such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dynamo
- Providing students a comprehensive knowledge of various building design codes and practices
- Intense focus on experiential learning thereby students can learn construction management, learn about modern construction materials, techniques, and effective construction management practices in real industry setting
- Providing top employment opportunities to students in top MNCs.
Outcome of the programme:
- Upon completion of the programme students will be able to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics
- Students will be able to develop customized solutions with consideration of public health, safety, and the macro environment factors.
- Students will be acquainted with associated BIM technologies such as Revit Architecture and Structure, Revit MEP, Model Authoring in BIM,planning and costing in BIM and BIM Management.
