Message from the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration)
Brig. (Dr.)SumarVir Singh is an Indian Army veteran where he worked as an Educationist in the elite Army Educational Corps.
During his illustrious career spanning over 33 years, he worked as academician and educational administrator at premier Institutes of Indian Army, such as Indian Military Academy (IMA) (Dehradun), college of Military Engineering (Pune) & AEC Training College and Centre (Pachmarhi). Some other important positions held by him are, Principal Uttar Pradesh Sainik School (Lucknow) and Deputy Director General of Right to Information, Army Head Quarter, Delhi.
At the time of superannuation from Army Brig. Singh was heading Army Educational Corps Training College and Centre as commandant. Besides the above, he as commandant, also double hatted the responsibilities of Station Commander Pachmarhi and President Cantonment Board Pachmarhi from May 2017 to 01 June 2019.
He took over the responsibilities of PVC (Administration), UMU Ranchi on 3rd June 2026 after successfully completing an enriching tenure as Registrar of Mangalayatan University, Aligarh, UP.
