Usha Martin University (UMU) successfully organized with five day Deekshaarambh Programme from August 24 to28, 2026, marking the beginning of the academic journey of new students enrolled in the current session of July 2026-2027. The orientation programme inspires the participation of more than 1500 students and parents to explore university life in a short span of time.
The programme is designed to help students to understand their academic journey with university life. In this five-day event, students are encouraged to participate and get familiar with the academic environment, faculty, campus culture, university facilities, learning opportunities, and student-centric initiatives.
The Deekshaarambh Programme focused on introducing students to the well-rounded facilities offered by the university. The motive of this programme is to welcome students to begin their university journey with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
Navigating the Career Transition Through University Life
Welcoming the students to the new phase of their education journey, to motivate them to explore the hidden gems that can define their life, both exciting and challenging. The academic journey at Usha Martin University is designed to encourage learners to explore real-world examples and practice classroom concepts with structured learning facilities provided by the University. The five-day orientation programme covers a range of sessions where students learn about faculty, facilities, the university, and how their learning path is structured for improving their career prospects and building their career foundation through degree and diploma programs.

The programme led faculty interaction with students to make them familiar with their teachers and university life. The main agenda of the programme is to make students familiar with the discipline-relevant academic concepts and learn through insightful guidance of our experienced faculty. Introducing them to a new academic community and fosters clear communication between learners and faculty to share an insightful learning journey and meaningful discussions to prepare them for choosing the right career opportunity. Our approach is to train students with learner-centric approaches to enhance their academic experience.
An Insight into Academic Excellence
In this orientation programme organized at UMU, students learnt about university culture, extracurricular activities, campus amenities, and several other facilities offered to shape modern learners’ academic knowledge as well as cultivate their key competencies to take challenging job roles and to support their future endeavours through campus experience.
The programme also introduced students to the digital learning platforms, communication channels, and opportunities to discover the clubs, events, sports, and other co-curricular activities. This event provides well-rounded insight to encourage them to critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management under the mentorship of our experienced faculty
Beyond the Classroom: Exploring New Horizons
Our vision through this programme aims to inform students beyond classrooms, textbooks, and examinations. UMU’s advanced library, museum, moot court, media room, smart lecture access, business lab, and other integrated learning opportunities drew attention to diverse learning opportunities. Students were also encouraged to participate in games representing UMU at national and international sports championships and events. Our facilities on campus are designed for shaping young minds for challenging roles and responsibilities through their selected programs and build in-demand skills to stay ahead in the competitive job market.
